In postings on this forum and other places on the web, I have seen Sebrem as the name of one of the children of Robert Adair and Babsy Reid; I have seen similar references to the name Sebron.Where children of Sebrem or Sebron are listed, I have seen listed among the children, Margaret Ann Adair. It is sometimes indicated that Margaret married Samuel Puckett (maybe I have seen it as Samuel Anderson Puckett).
According to family records, my great-grandparents, parents of my father's mother, were Samuel Anderson Puckett and Margaret Ann Adair. In these records, Margaret's father is listed variously as Seborn, Seaborn, Seyburn, and possibly other variations, most often Seborn. Her mother is listed as Mary, Mary R., Mrs. Mary R. Adair, or Mary R. Emerson. I don't know in detail the original sources of all of the information in these family records, but some of them were written while my grandmother was still alive and claimed to be partially based on her knowledge and/or her records or records in her possession.
Is it possible,or even probable, that Sebrem, Sebron, and Seborn and its variations, are all the same one person? (I have seen Seborn written by hand so that it also looked a little like Sebrem.)
I have not yet looked for original public record source documents on this; someday I will. What has anyone else already seen?
