Norm, We see that the parents of John Adair b.1794 are probably John Adair and his wife Jean Kilgore. Did the land records for your John Adair bc1794 have any information on how he obtained his land (shown on the census for Pickens District) ? Would he have inherited from his father ? It appears that the father, John Adair, was a Scotsman. I am sorry I have not found out his parents, but possibly someone in Scotland may have found a birth record for him ? There are many other Adairs in America searching this Adair lineage, possibly someone has more recent information on the parents of this John Adair, trader, who m. Kilgore ?
