Am working on the theory that Joseph Adair found in 1810 Concordia Parish LA Census is the same Joseph shown as the son of John Adair and Sarah, (1785 Laurens Co SC court minutes. His siblings would be Benjamin, Martha, Hezekiah and Isaac.
My lines runs through Joseph Adair and Mildred Wallace, and daughter, Sidney Adair, b 1799 in GA.
As already mentioned, Jackson Co, Deed abtraction book C shows Benjamin Adair, Bartholomew Wallace, Joseph Adair and Thomas Grubbs.
'First settlers of Catahoula Parish, 1808-1839' shows Isaac Adair seeling property on Bayou Macon, where Hezekill Adair is buried, witnessed by Joseph Adair, brother of Hezekill.Document is signed in 1816 and re-confirmed by Joseph in 1823.
1810 Concordia parish records have Joseph and Benjamin Adair next to each other.
1820 Oachita Parish LArecords have Joseph Adair.
1820 Claiborne Co MS has Benjamin Adair.
Succession Record Book A, Ouachia Parish LA shows Milly Wallace Adair as wife of Joseph Adair. She died 1821 leaving children:Jane Adair, Sidney Adair, John Adair, Martha Adair, Davis (David) Adair and Sarah Adair.
I believe Joseph has died by 1830.Benjamin shows up in Claiborne Co MS next to Sidney Adair (married to Richard Harding).
The info just circumstantial, but would love to tie this line down.Any feedback most appreciated. Thanks, Julie Clayton
