Would this James Adair & Jean Semple who m. 1730 have gone to New Savannah ?
On the SCROOT-L 6 June 1998 there is a message from Steven J. Coker (thankyou Steven).
It mentions 19 Apr 1760 Capt. James Adair undertook to lead the Chickesaw (Regiment under Col. Montgomery) at NEW SAVANNAH, and act as an advanced or Scouting Party to gain daily Intelligence for Colonel Montgomery. (Capt. James Adair was paid 200 dollars or pounds)
Wonder if the above Jean SEMPLE was related to Mary Semple who m. William Adair's cousin, Duncan Reid ?
