Now I am thoroughly confused.If William Adare married to Eleanor was born 1745 he would have been abt 69 when his son, Samuel was born and while serving in the War of 1812 as a Private?IfEleanor was 76 as is shown in the 1850 census of Mad. Co, AL, that would make her b. abt 1774.The marriage date could be wrong.If she was abt 35 when John B. was born, she could have had other children born before John.Or I may have the William’s and James’ totally mixed up, which would not be unreasonable since there are so many of them all in about the same time frame. By the way, Decatur, AL is in Morgan County and not Jackson Co.
