LaGrange County, Indiana, was settled in 1829 and the name of Daniel D. Davis, William Adair and Thomas Adams appear in the lists of the settlers, the first two serving as Overseers of the poor.
Mary Ralston ADAIR died there in 1831. William ADAIR sold his 660 acres and went west to IOWA. Thomas and Elizabeth Ralston Adams passed on to the Adams settlement which they founded four miles south of Valparaiso, Indiana. None of the families remain in LaGrange Co, Indiana,but the bodies of two of these ancestral mothers lie there in unmarked graves.
