David, I have been to that cemetery website that you mentioned on the internet. Didn't mean to make you doubt your genealogy. I have seen some information over the internet about this James Adair who lived among the Indians. And I have seen the some genealogy charts listed on the Adairs which has been so confusing and that is why I've been trying to find out about James Adair b: 1752 d: 1818 and who is buried in the Duncan Creek Cem. with wife, Hannah, and he was in the American Rev. I want to get it straightened out so I'll know about James; I know he was also associated with the Col. James Wms. petition of 1780. If we are talking about the same James Adair I hope I'll hear from you again. I have a copy of Mildred Bottomlee's compiled information on "The Adairs of Lauren's County, SC" but she seemed to think James' father was James & Eleanor Adair. To add to that there were several James Adairs! My James Adair b: 1752 d: 1818 also had a son named James Adair and I have seen him listed as son of Joseph Adair, Sr.(cooper) who was involved with the church in Duncan Creek and he also had a son named James Adair but this James left that area for Indiana with his wife and died there and records for this James seem to confirm that fact.
