Shirley, just happens I was going over some land transactions today and since several of your recent messages include the name Truesdale, this might be of interest. From Lancaster Dist. S.C. - Know all men by these presents that we Robert Stringfellow and John Trusdale Extrs. of the estate of William McDonald dec'd do certify that McDonald, Jr and his brother James McDonald hath a tract of land being and on the waters of PeeDee mostly in Montgomery Co., N.C. being 100 acres of land more or less on the south side Cheeks Creek - joining William Pickett (Puckett?) - being part of a tract of land granted to Wm. Ussury - and the said tract of land was left to the aforesaid Wm. and James McDonald by the last will of their unkle Wm. McDonald dec'd which tract of land we do certify as above to be the said Wm. McDonald and James McDonald own wright and property.Aug. 22, 1805 Wit: Aron (X) McDonald and Shalum Ellkins
