re: "Hugh Adair stayed in Ireland and there is no information about him. He was born about 1755. So he would have been 19 when his father came with 5 other children in 1774. The father John was a cooper and fought in the Revolution. He settled in what is now Adams cty MY near Gettysberg. The other children were James, Nancy, Blayney, Mary, and Janet. He remarried and had William,Josiah Hannah and Sally, 2nd wife Sarah. This family was Presbyterian and they were being put under Penal laws in Ireland at this time."
Somewhere I saw a passenger list with the children's names and ages, one boy was only about 6yrs old, but may have been named Andrew. Not sure if date was 1772 or 1774 though.

This family seem to reside near that of John Adair who m. Miss Emmitt / Emmett ?However, that Adair family appear to have emigrated much earlier and related to the Faries family.Possibly all cousins.
Would you have any further information on these Adairs ?
Thankyou.
