This gentleman was one of the founders of the Duncan Creek Presbyterian Church in Duncan's Creek, South Carolina. He was born 1711 in County Antrim, Ireland, and presumably immigrated to America in 1733.
I visited this church and cemetery this past Sunday, September 23, 2007. The road leading to the church near Clinton, South Carolina, has been re-named to Golden Acres Road. If you drive east from Clinton on SC 72 about two miles, the road will be on your left. Even though it has been re-named, there is a very nice sign with the name of the church on it and it sits on the corner of the road.
The plaque which appears in a photograph on L. Bowes' geocities website on Duncan's Creek Presbyterian Church is inside the church and is only available for viewing immediately before or after church services which are every Sunday at 11 am.
The maintenance of cemetery is very good, but it was sad to see that many of the gravestones were no longer readable. You will have to rely heavily on the geocities listing of inscriptions.
