Vol.3. (c.AD1308-14 ?)
King Edward II.
p.208. Robert, son of Robert de Adare.
p.306. Robert de Adar. (printed "Adar").
(King Edward II was betrayed by close friends and his wife who disposed him and ordered his execution AD1327. 14 year-old son, Edward III succeeded and ruled for 50 years.)
On 29 August 1329 Maurice, head of Munster Geraldines, was given jurisdiction over Kerry and made Earl of Desmond.
The Agnew history may have noted that Robert de Adare was a "guest" at the baronial houses in Wigtownshire, Scotland, when he noticed the King's proclamation against Mr. Curry of Dunskey Castle.
Perhaps Robert de Adare was a guest of the Agnew family ?
