John Adare of the ship "William" of Bourbon 11 July 1696, in which there is mention of James Kennedy of town of Donghadee (Donaghadee, co. Down, N. Ireland). There was an Anna Adair (dau of Rev. William Adair of Ayr) who married James Kennedy.Not sure if she was sister of Rev. Patrick Adair of Carncastle, co. Antrim, N. Ireland.
In the will of David Kennedy of Ballycultra, Esqr., dated April 24 1697 a James Kennedy of Donagadee is mentioned. Archibald *Hamilton of Armagh and Ballough (living 1693) m. Mary Kennedy, sister of David Kennedy of Ballycultra.

Hugh Kennedy had sons David, Arthur and John. (Mentioned in "The *Hamilton Manuscripts" p.137) (Mentioned in "The Montgomery Manuscripts" p.249, he was a "1649 officer" and obtained by "Act of Settlement....etc" (see FHL film for my Capt. Andrew Adair, 1649 officer had land in co. Longford c.1660 seemed to be distributed by Hamilton.)
