re: Rev. William and Lydia Byrd (nee Adair) had dau,
Elizabeth Byrd who m.1813 Jonathan Burleson.
They moved into Morgan Co about 1816.
Their second child, Aaron Adair Burleson, born Aug 1, 1816, was the first white child born in Morgan Co.

Captain John Miller (purchased "Burleson Improvements" )
was commander of the Turkey Creek Militia, and served under Col. Edward Lacy also of Turkey Creek.Another from Turkey Creek was John Adair (later Gov. of Kentucky) whose descendants married into the Burleson family.

Did John Adair's father, William Adair, serve or live near the Byrd or Burleson families in Virginia prior to moving toMecklenburg Co ?

In 1772 Botetourt was divided making Fincastle part of Kentucky.In 1776 Fincastle was dissolved and Kentucky County, still part of Virginia was created.
