If James Adair was 2nd son of Ninian, then William Adair of Mulhill & Genoch, (2nd son of William Adair) who m.1584 Janet Wauss was not the son of Ninian, but probably his brother ? If John Adair (made legitimate) was the 1st son of William Adair and Miss Kennedy, then was William Adair of Mulhill their 2nd son (and heir) and Ninian his son or brother ?
Mullhill, at Mull of Logan is on the British History Online map Wigtownshire 31 at : http://wwwhttp://www. british-history.ac.uk
Would William Adair of Mulhill and Genoch (m.1584 Waus) have inherited lands at Mulhill / Mullhill from the McDowell family of Logan ?
