Message 2024 on the genforum Livingston forum, from Leslie Bishop (thanks, Leslie):
"...A Livingston researcher sent me some information giving his parents and children. If the information is correct, I think it links my line of siblings: Aaron Adam Livingston Margaret Livingston and Robert with the New york Line. In this information she sent an article from, I think, the SC genealogical magazine about the livingston family. This article gives the family back to leving of Levingston about 1100.In it it says that William livingston son of the Rector of Monyabroch, settled in County Down, Ireland and married Mary Lindsey. from him, came brothers Robert and Adam....This is the only place I have ever seen this connection or information. I would love to know more about them--especially if they are his children and possibly it could mean grand children too. Adam was born in "the North of Ireland" and came to America ca 1760 settling first in Pa. later coming to Ga. If the book "Livingstons of Callendar" by E. B. Livingston is correct then Agnes Livingston and William Livingston are the parents of William married to Mary Lindsey."
They are also the parents of John Livingston, so he had a brother who was in County Down.
