The Goss children were raised and educated by their maternal grandmother and her son and daughter-in-law after their mother's death.The only children given in family records for Mary Adair and Thomas Goss are: Walter Adair Goss, B. August 08, 1823, d. 1858 he had no marriage or children, Benjamin Franklin Goss, b. July 19, 1827, d. January 31, 1910 in Stilwell, OK, and Rachel Elizabeth Goss, b. October 03, 1828, d. January 31, 1873.Benjamin F. Goss married and had children by three Bean sisters, and later married Demaris Pace in 1872, by whom he had no children. His children by the Bean sisters were: Mary (b. 1848 in Flint District, now Stilwell, OK), John Thomas, Walter Starr, Susannah Deborah, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Jr., Nancy Elizabeth, Charles, and Narcissa, all his children were born between 1848 and 1857. Rachel Elizabeth Goss married Richard F. Fields in 1845, and had 7 children by him.They were Walter Goss Fields, Nancy Elizabeth Fields, William H., Thomas F., Joseph Allen, Margeret Penelope and Chauncey Fields, all born between 1847 and 1868. Listed in Mary Adair Goss' brother Judge John Thompson Adair's papers in the archives of the Oklahoma Historical Society are documents showing purchases and educational expenses for the three Goss children.
