Minutes of the Privy Council of Scotland Edinburgh.26th July,1689. On a petition by Alexander Leckie and Robert Lenox, merchants in Londonderry, the Council grant a pass for a small vessel which they have freighted, called the Prosperitie of Glasgow (William Adair, master), of about forty-five tons burden, with four guns, for carrying provisions to their friends and relations in Londonderry, the petitioners finding caution in 2000 merks that the cargo shall be conveyed to Londonderry, if possible, and shall not be disposed of to any of his Majesty's enemies.
Leckie (Lecky / Lackie / Lacey )may have been Mayor of Londonderry. Lenox may have been Lennox or Cuningham-Lenox / Conyngham-Lennox
