I too am a descendant of Guillaume Adam -dit-Laramee and (Catherine Charron b.1680 m Feb. 24/1701 in Longueil. I am from Manitoba. There appears to have been a migration of a few Adam boys from Quebec who moved to Manitoba in the early 1900's. Most of them and their children became merchants around Manitoba towns such as Winnipegosis, Berens River, Crane River, Dauphin, Ste. Rose du-lac etc.
1. Can you tell me if you know who Guillaume the soldat corporal's father might be? He is the furthest ancestor I am able to go back to. My information show's him as also being named Guillaume; who was born in France; who married around 1665 a Marguerite Nicolet and they lived in Sainte Genevieve, Normandy. Never been positive this is accurate.
2. In your April 17, 2001 posting you state that Antoine Adam (in my line) is one of three sons of Guillaume/Charron. You also state that Antoine Adam married Marie Charlotte Bouteiller. My information show's his spouse was named Marie Charlotte Boulleric. What information or document are basing her last name from please?
3. Unfortunately my only son Daryl and myself are the last males of this particular line. Daryl has three girls and is not likely to have more children.
