Not trying to step on any toes or anything but ADAM AND EVE!
Come on now guys, seriously! I'm just kind of curious as to what in the world sources you all are using. I've run across the "Adam and Eve line" before but I didn't know that it was taken seriously as being tied directly to anyone's family line.I don't want to be harsh but if you post these kinds of messages could you at least supply sources for EACH AND EVERY individual? Court records, marriage/birth/death certificates, etc. I have no problem with your source being the Bible either, but a book, chapter, and verse to go along would be nice.In addition to sources could you please include a copy of the text: such as Genesis 4, verse 25: "And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew." Might as well throw in the version you're using also - I was using the good ol' King James Version above.
I can't imagine that anyone who has this line actually researched it themselves. Most likely it was either passed along by a friend/genealogist or "discovered" by a "Professional Genealogy Group" of some sort who will print out anything anyone wants if the price is right.
Lastly, where in the world did Azura come from? She is listed in several of these "lines" as the wife of Seth and daughter of Adam and Eve but she's not to be found in any version of the Bible that I own. I have started my own gedcom file which now contains those individuals in the book of Genesis, but alas it contains no Azura. More distressingly I have been unable to tie Adam and Eve's line into my own. Maybe someone will demonstrate the ease of this (with sources) in the near future...
p.s. I'm not source-happy or anything - I list few in my own files, but then again my files don't go back to Adam and Eve and even though they are relatively recent I don't post them as gospel truth.
