Hello, fans of the various Adam families - I have a correction to notify you about:
According to FamilySeatrch.org, there's a Lawrence ADAM found in the 1910 Census living in North Lynden, Whatcom County, Washington with wife: Nellie Scofield, adopted child: Francis M Adam, and mother-in-law: Louisa Scofield. Series T624, Roll 1674, Page 230a, Washington, Whatcom County, North Lynden.
However, that transcription is in error and the man is really Lorentz/Laurence/Lawrence ASAM, whose parents were immigrants from Bavaria/German. He and his parents are found in multiple censuses. I understand that it's an unusual surname, but if you compare the way the name is written on line 48 with the "s" in Rose on line 42 and the "d" in Edward on line 41, you'll see that it's indeed ASAM.
