I'm an Adame living in Arizona, I transplanted from California 34 years ago. We have a large family of Adame in Riverside. My family comes from Puruandiro, Michoacan, Mexico. My Great Grandfather, Canuco Adame, immigrated to Douglas, AZ. around 1900, and a few years later sent for the family. On the trip here his wife (I can't recall her name) died on the railroad train from a plague that hit the country in northern Mexico. The were two brothers, Mauro Adame and Pedro Adame that continued that trip with three sisters, Dorothea, Petra, ?. A fourth sister stayed in Mexico and married a soldier. Canuco Adame remarried some time later to a woman with 3 sons. After a incident in Arizona and after Canuco died, the family all moved to Riverside, Ca. sometime in the early 20's. My Grandfather,Mauro Adame Sr. married a woman from Arizona named MariaLuisa, they had six sons and three daughters. My father, Mauro Jr., was the second son.
