Edith Adams was my great-grandmother.She was married in 1887 to my grandfather, Amos Lea.
I have no idea who her father or mother was, or whether she had siblings.
Edith died in 1848 and she could have been 76 years old at the time, although she could well have been as much as 8 years older. She died on April 5th, 1948.[A newspaper article about Edith's and Amos' 60th wedding anniversary, gives Edith's age as 75 ... and Amos' age as 80.Amos, however, was 88 at his 60th wedding anniversary so since the newspaper obviously got Amos' age wrong, I'm not confident that they got Edith's correctly.]Edith's death notice didn't give her age.
I'd like to trace this side of the family, which I thought would have been easier to do than for that of my great-grandfather, however, I've been able to trace his family back to his grandfather!
I do know that Edit Adams went to Jesse Ketchum school ... and she hailed from Weston Ontario at the time of her marriage.
If any of this sounds familiar to anyone out there I'd sure like to find more in the Adams line.
