I recently found the following inscriptions on a tombstone near Cahaba, which was the first capitol of Alabama
The tombstone is rather elaborate with a brick wall around the graves. The inscriptions face away from the graves, which is unusual for this area. The only other place I have seen this done is on my gg-grandparents grave in Octagon Cemetary near Linden, Alabama (Spencer and Elizabeth Adams).
Inscription reads: "David Adams was born in Elbert Co GA on 8th Jany, 1808 & died at Cahaba Ala. 30th Oct 1835.
Mary E. Adams wife of David Adams was born 7th November 1810 & died 29th Sept. 1835 leaving two infant children"
If anyone can shed any light on these individuals please E-mail me at email@example.com
