I forgot to let you in my E-mail today, but I have information coming on Pleasant Newton Adams Civil War Records. I have found a gg granddaughter that works in the Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta. The following is her E-mail to me.
Hi Pat, Great to hear from you!We Have A Match! I am so happy to know Absolom's wife maiden name.As a great grandmother of mine I will now be trying to find out more about her. Sorry I have no help on her line, but Absolom's son Pleasant is my ancestor and I have a good bit about him-his Civil War record and a lot about his second marriage.
In fact my line from him is interesting.Pleasant & Mary Ann Potts(1st wife) had a daughter, Rowena.Pleasant's 2nd wife, Catherine had a son by her 1st husband who was killed in the Civil War.After years of living in the same household, Rowena and Joseph, brother and sister by marriage, got married and continued my line. They had seven daughters and three sons. One of their daughters was my grandmother, my father's mother.
I'll send everything I found to you. You are to the Adams Family Tree, what 'Johnnie Apple Seed' was to the Apple Trees all across the United States! Thanks for all your hard work and help! Pat Holloway
