Hello Birney,

I don't have any other information other than what is generally circulating out there among ancestors who are already researching and debating this topic.

I don't have any proof that Sarah was a Boone.I know all of the arguments on both sides of this debate.

I placed the posting on this subject in the hope that there might be someone out there who could offer some additional information or even proof.

My family has an oral history that has been passed down for a very very long time (approximately 140 years). My 3rd great grandmother Christina Adams Mitchell was a daughter of Samuel Adams.Samuel is of course a son of Conrad.

Christina Adams Mitchell told my great grandfather that she was related to the Boones and that her grandfather Conrad had traveled with Daniel Boone on a few occasions.
Christina Adams Mitchell was the grandmother of my great grandfather.

I can only assume that Christina Adams Mitchell was given this information by her father Samuel Adams.Christina would have been a young child when Sarah Adams Lamberson died. There is nothing I know of in our family records to show that Christina knew Sarah personally.Looking at this from that perspective, I would say that Samuel Adams would have known the truth about Sarah. My family's story may be an indication of that truth. Then again, it may not be.

I make no firm claims on this family story as all oral history is suspect. However, I think that the possibility that Sarah was a Boone does exist. The lack of documented proof doesn't prove that it isn't true. It just means it will remain a debate or a question until something is proven either way.

Thanks for your response.
