Tommy, thank you for answering, sometimes I think I'm the only one out here. My John Adams b 1802 VA is a mystery man. My great uncle Hobert Adams said he thought that John came down to SC(from VA) and then worked his way back up to So IL thru TN and KY. My cousin Joe Adams' grandfather said about the same thing, but said John was sorta wild and went trading with the Indians for about five years, and when he returned(where?) the folks had moved, and he never found them again.I have been going thru the 1830 TN census co by co, and haven't found him yet. My ancester, son Anderson, was born 1832 TN, its possible John wasn't there till about time for his birth...who knows? I will continue to look for a likely John, and then move on to KY and do the same thing. I don't know what else I could add to this if you need to know anything ask, and I'll do my best. I told you how much Stephen T looks like my dad looks now at 84, its amazing tho' could be a coincidence. I will be gone till sun night, I will answer then if you have written anything. All the children had the normal Adams names, John Q, Susannah, Alexander, Stephen, Sarah, Thomas, Louisa Harriet, Eliza Jane, etc. Till later thanks again.
