The Lynda Adams you refer to was my g-g-g-grandfather.The information I have on him is:
b. 22 Oct 1789, Canterbury, CT d. 12 Feb 1862, Stowe, VT m. Lucy Nason, 14 Nov 1814 b.1 Sep 1792 d.7 Jun 1869, Stowe, VT
There was also a second Lynda Adams, my g-grandfather: b.15 Nov 1845 d.10 Jan 1897 m.Aurora Lillie Ayers, 5 Sep 1869 b.15 June 1851 d.30 Sep 1919
#1 Lynda did, indeed, purchase the "Adams Homestead" in the Nebraska Valley area of Moscow, VT (Moscow is a locality in the southeastern part of the Town of Stowe) around 1836, after moving from the Brookfield, VT area. After leaving the family briefly and then repurchased, this homestead subsequently passed to my uncle, Nason Adams, and has been largely sold off piece by piece over the years.Only the sugar orchard remains in Nason's possession today; it adjoins the Trapp Family Lodge acreage.
I would be interested in knowing other information you might have about this branch of the family.
