Re: William A. Adams Ohio, ILL. Maria Naylor

I was so excited to see someone researching this line! I too became discouraged trying to find where in Ohio William A. Adams was born. He marr Maria Nailer 14 Aug 1828 in Greene Co., Ill. When/where did he die? I dont find him anywhere after the 1850 census, but William (Jr) was born 1851, so I assume William A. was still alive then--?
Maria Nailer b. 26 Apr 1807 in Penn. She d. 23 Oct 1880, Kane, Greene Co., Ill.

Their children:

1. Charles C. b. 1830. Marr 30 Mar 1859 to Sarah A. Moore. Died- ?

2*.(my line) Joshua Clark Adams b. 10 Oct 1832, Hancock Co., ILL. Marr abt 1854 to Catherine Jane Sights. Joshua d. 20 Sep 1918 in Plainville, Rooks, KS. Their 7 children:
i-Edward 1855 ILL.
ii-Emma 1858 Iowa. She marr Arthur M Brown 1878, Worth Co, MO. They had 2 daughters.
iii-William A. 1860 ILL. Lived in Junction, Geary, KS. He marr 1879 Rosella ___. 6 children: Alma 1880, Edith 1883, Hazel 1900, Mildred 1902, Lois 1906, Cletus 1908.
iv-Alma 1863 ILL. marr 1882 at Worth Co, MO to Charles Albert Maulding. 8 children: Clarence 1884, Pearl 1887, Addie Clara 1889, Hallie Grace 1891, Minnie Lola 1895, Alma May 1898, Katherine Louise 1900, Charles Cecil 1906. Charles is still living in San Diego area.

vi-Clara 1869 Hancock Co, ILL. She may have marr abt 1889 in KS to Thomas Brown (not yet verified.)
vii-Edgar C. Sep 1872, Hancock Co., ILL. Was living in 1943, probably in CA. He marr 1897 in KS to Clara R. ___. Their 2 children: Verl H. 1898 and Virgil C. 1904.

3. Mary A. b.1835- no other information

4. Caleb Nailer 1839- after 1880. He marr Mary Ann ___ abt 1865. Children: Charles 1867, Ann 1869, William 1873, Fannie 1875.

5. Martha G. b.1842- no other information.

6. Joanna 1845- no other information.

7. John 1848. He marr abt 1874 to Manerva ____. They lived in Kane, Greene, Ill. Children: 1-Guy Adams b. abt 1875
and Erwin Adams b. abt 1878.

8. William 1851.

There was a William Adams and wife Delcy iving in Lincoln twp, Harrison, MO in the 1900 census. Living with them are grandchildren William b.1884 in MO and Alma b.1887 in MO.
Alma was the name of both my grandmother and great- grandmother, through Joshua Clark Adams. So I thought perhaps this was the correct William, son of Wm. A and Maria N. Adams.
Would love to complete the family groups of each of William A and Maria's children, with marriages, where they lived, etc.
