Greetings,I'll be glad to list what info I have, although most of it isn't documented yet, and was given to me by some lovely people, dedicated genealogists .But their work & sources are good.
William R. ADAMS (we think his mid name might have been Riley) b 21 Oct 1818 Marion/Wash. Co KY, d 1902 Phelps Co MO. Wm. R. was son of either 1).Henry & Sarah ARTHUR ADAMS; or 2).Abraham & Cath. ARTHUR ADAMS.
Henry & Abraham are the oldest sons of Coonrod "Cooney" ADAMS (1770 Linc Co NC-1835 MO; lived KY)& Mary Rebecca "Polly" HOUK (1772 NC-1850/60 KY).Coonrod's father was Phillip ADAMS of PA & NC. Coonrod had a younger son named Andrew "Riley" ADAMS also.
"Piney Bill" (Boy, I'd love to know the root origin of that nick-name!) marr Loucinda Ellen BATES, abt 1838-40 in KY.No other info on "Ellen" BATES.Piney Bill & wf L. Ellen are buried on Henry ADAMS & Sarah ARTHUR ADAMS farm, now called Old Hale Farm, S. Meramec Twp, Phelps Co MO. They had to be related to be buried in the ADAMS family cem, at least Uncle & nephew, but quite likely Father & son. They had 6 or so ch before she died: James S.; Lucinda "Frances"; George W.; Squire Abram; Wm Morgan; & ? (more?).
He marr #2 wife Mary A. BELL & they had 5-6 ch: Sarah E; M. Catherine; G.D.; E.L.; M.E.
He marr #3 wife Pauline Jane DEAN (BRADLEY?)& they had 6 ch: Daniel Zack; Henry; Ida A.; Josephine; Thomas W; Samuel L.He sure was a lively one.
I have to tell you most of the data was passed to me just as I'm passing it along to you, so do your research always. Hope this helps, will be glad to exchange data anytime. K.
