Jody, I have been searching your postings to see which if any of Henry Adams of Braintree MS descendants ended up in VA.I am looking for the parents and siblings of John Adams b 1802 in VA,(1870 census list WVA) migrated to KY, probably near Louisville, and then to Monroe Co. IN. In 1826 in Monroe Co. IN married Nancy Bell, b 1802 in KY
I am aware that almost all Adams claim kinship to the President.Several lines of our family were all told they were related to the Pres. I am at a deadend trying to find John 1802's parents, so assuming that we may be related to the President's line, it would have to be one of Henry's (Braintree) descendants.
In KY another Adams family, Hugh Adams 1775, married Eleanor Ellett.Their family and ours have the same names and they migrated together to Monroe Co. IN and lived next door.Hugh's family went on to Putnam Co. IN, so I believe they are related.Hugh has a son John Adams b 1802, but they have a different wife attached to him.
I hope you might be able to help me.Would really appreciate any lead.
