GEORGE WASHINGTON FULLERTON, son of THOMAS and ELEANOR FULLERTON, was born in Muskingum County, Ohio, Dec. 4, l847, and departed this life May 22, l923, aged 75 years, 5 months and l8 days.
When he was a small boy his parents moved to Iowa and located near Grand River where he grew to manhood.He was married March l9, l847, to MARY E. HUFF who died Nov. l2, l876.To this union was born one child, HARRY, who died March 24, l876.
On Jan. 27, l878, he was again united in marriage to LENORA PALMER.To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive him.JOHN R. FULLERTON, of Sterling, Colo.; MRS. LULA JONES, of Messex, Colo.; MRS. NETTIE ADAMS, of Los Angeles, Calif.; MRS. DOLLIE BRUCE, of New York; MRS. MYRTLE MCINTOSH, THOMAS B. FULLERTON and LEON FULLERTON, of Grand River, Iowa.All who were present at the funeral except DOLLIE, who dould not be located.
He leaves to mourn his departure, a wife, two brothers, three sons, four daughters, a step-son, and sixteen grandchildren besides a host of relatives and friends.
He united with the Christian Church Feb. l0, l888, and was baptized May ll, l898.
He has enjoyed splendid health until a few days previous to his death when he became ill.But his health had improved so that he was able to drive his car over to see his brother and wife on Monday and his passing was a sudden shock to his relatives and friends.We shall sadly miss him from his accustomed place, as we are left to mourn.
Dearest Father, thou hast left us; And our loss we deeply feel, But 'tis God who has bereft us; He can all our sorrows heal.
