I am working on my Adams line from Cullman and am really frustrated.I have a Isaiah M.Cook that was b. 14 Apr. 1855 in Fayette, GA and he married Sarah J. ____.Isaiah and his wife Sally were in Carroll County, GA in 1880.By 1900 they had moved to Cullman, AL.On the census, they are shown with children Frances, Shade A., Joe C., Margaret E., Emma M., Burton M., Velmer, George and Will.Isaiah died 15 Feb. 1904 and he is buried in Fairview West Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
My real frustration comes in a document from Cullman County, AL that I recently obtained that was on microfilm that makes J.F. Adams guardian, stating that he is the brother to Isaiah's children, yet I never see him on the census with them.
In the 1900 for Cullman, a John and Martha Cook are living two doors away from Isiah and Sarah.
Have you figured out the Cooks of Fayette, GA and Cullman, AL by any chance?(I'm thinking very positively here!!)I would be interested in knowing of your findings and very willing to share anything that I might have that would be helpful.
