Susan, I decided to write back using GenForum in case someone else is working on the same individuals as you. Here's what I found on the 1900 Michigan Soundex.Your John W. Adams was born in August 1851 in Canada. (Willing to bet Ontario.) In 1900 he is living in Huron County, Sand Beach Twns.In the household were: wife Angeline b. 9-1850 in Canada; daughter Violitta b. 4-1875 in Canada; daughter Effie b. 4-1878 in Canada; son Thomas S. born 3-1885 in Mich; daughter Minnie B. born 4-1887 in Michigan; son Charles b. 8-1889 in Mich; and daughter Anna A. born 1-1894 in Mich.
This should give you something to work with.Through the LDS, you could check the Ontario birth records for any of the Canadian born.Certainly the Michigan death records for all of them.(I didn't see Seymour but that doesn't mean much.He may be older than Violitta and was not in the household in 1900.I doubt that he was born after the 1900 Census because mother Angeline would have been 50 years old in 1900.)Let me know if there's something you'd like me to look up. Bill
