I would be more than happy to share my obits. i found them in the lancaster library. Catherine Adams was listed inthe lancaster news page 5 4-3-1907. It was at the top of the page. I found Samuel Adams obit in the Lancaster News Wed 10-23-1901 and the Lanxaster Ledger 10-23-1901. Here is what the say: Death of Mrs Catherine Adams, Widow of Samuel Adams. Mrs catherine C Adams, widow of the late Samuel Adams, died last Saturday night, at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. john F. Bell, in the western portion of the county. She was attached with something like pueumonia, and being old and feeble she quickly succumbed to the ravages of the disease. Mrs Adams's maiden name was Downs and she was 83 years and three months old. She was a sister of Mr. William Downs,of Pleasant Hill section. The following sons and daughters survive her: Messer John L., B.P. and G.R. Adams of this county. Dr, Samuel Adams of Mississippi: Mr I.C. Adams of Texas: Mrs J.F. Bell. Mrs. Laura Connor and Mrs. Thomas Ballard of this county. Mrs Adams was a most estimable christian lady and leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to lament death. She was a member of the Methodist church. The reamins were buried Sunday at Lower Camp Creek Church, The Rev W.C. Winn Conducting the funeral Services. I can see that I was wrong James was not listed here. He must of died before his mom.I also know that onthe headstones at the church Harriet Adams Bell died before her mom 7-6-1906. But she is listed in this obit. Confussing.

Death of Samuel adams Lancaster Ledger Mr. Samuel Adams an aged and respected citizen of ceder creek township died at his home last onday night.Had he lived another month he would o celebrated his 82nd birthday, having been born in this county in November 1819. Up to fourteen years ago when he had several of his bones broken in an accident he was active and ndustrious but since that timehe has been imcapacitted for hard work. The past few years he has been quite feable and though his health has been moderately good yet his death was not unexpected for his friends realized that the machinery of life was worn out and must soon give way. He was too old to be mustered into the regular Conferate army but did service guarding prisoners at Florence the last six months of the war. He leaves his wife and nine children surviving him viz: j.c., s.f., j.l., b.p., g.r., i.c. adams and Mrs j.f. bell mrs. laura connor and mrs t.p. ballard. It is rather remarkable that of his large family of children all are living and the youngest is now about 40 years old, He was a member of newhope Baptist church .
