I am descended from Harrison Dowell (1790) who married 12/26/1812 a Nancy Delton Hall, daughter of John Hall (a tailer) and Mildred Sandidge. John Hall's mother was said to be a sister of John Qunicy Adams. This came from an 1800s history book that my sister has. Now I know that John Quincy only had one sister who lived to be of marriagable age and she married a Smith. There are lots of John Adams and John Quincy Adams as I guess everybody in the family wanted to name their sons after the presidents. But why would they put it in a history book?
