Meredith, I would love to have a copy of the Adams-Hobdy-Womack bible pages from Nashville. Please contact me directly to share more information. John Hobdy Adams married Martha Womack, daughter of William Green Womack and Catherine Elizabeth Adams, in 1858 in Macon County, Alabama, at the home of John Marr (Catherine Adams Womack's second husband).
"Green" is a surname found in early Butler County records (settlers from Georgia to Alabama), but it's not the name of a known direct ancestor of William Green Womack. Green was the name of a Revolutionary War hero and could come from that origin, if not from the Adams or Womack side of family.
