I am researching the grparents of Lee Adams who was born in Monroe, Ms 1875. Lee's parents are Daniel bn 1834 and Mary Francis Adamsbn 1848 and this family is Afro American. From the 1870 census up until 1910 I was able to find this family in the same community, Central Grove which is in Okolona Ms. So far I have no idea what the names of the parents for either Dan or Mary Francis could have be, or who the last slaveholder could have been. I did find a sister of Daniel living next door, Ellen Cox, with 4 of Daniels sons in the household. I'm sure the other 'male ADAMS" in this community could be related in some way. I would like to know if there is anyone else researching this community and what possible connections there may be. Women's maiden names are lost through marriages. I have copies of all the Adams marriage bonds I could find so I may have found relatives and not know. LEE ADAMS had 7 sons, John Henry, Leroy, Turner, John Willis, Eddie Lee, Tommy Lee and Louis Lee. I am looking for descenants of John Willis Adams. Names are John Willis Adams Jr, James and Carl. John Jr and Carl are last known to lived in Canton Ohio in 1972. I have not been able to find anything about the whereabouts of these sons and/or their families. These sons are by 2 different women-Effie Caldwell aka Authur, and Lula Ezell.
