The January 2006 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on p. 97 has an ad showing a wonderful portrait of Agigail Adams Hoag of New York, ca. 1829 by the great American folk artist Ammi Phillips (1788-1865.)
I am scanning this page in case any of the Hoag or Adams family descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the families ought to have it--it's too good to be missed by the family.
My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please email me directly rather than respond to me on this site as I probably will not see that response.
If it were a portrait of a Mr. Pease, I'd sure want someone to do the same for me.
