I have been researching the ADAMS, brother, JAMES, HENRY, AMOS, CHARLES, JOHN and WIILLIAM, reflected in the will of JAMES ADAMS who was born in SC in 1769/1770 and died in 1852 in Edgefield County, SC.I descend from the line of CHARLES ADAMS one of these six brothers, who was born between 1765-1775, dying in Edgefield, SC about 1827.
I have been researching the ADAMS family for over 10 years.
There seems to be three groups of ADAMS'es.The family group that I descend from appears to have been located in the Red Bank Creek, Sleep Creek area of old Edgefield.
Also, in the Red Bank Creek area were a group of ADAMS, headed by a THOMAS ADAMS who marries the daughter of WRIGHT NICHOLSON.
The family group containg DRURY ADAMS and siblings appears to have been located in the Horns Creek area.
Another family group of ADAMS'es seems to be located in the Cuffee Town Creek area, contain the family of a JOHN ADAMS.
I have been unable to link these groups together but all were residing in OLD NINETY-SIX DISTRICT / EDGEFIELD DISTRICT in the 1700's and 1800's.
