Cyrus Adams, b. about 1819 in Vermont; m. Mary Sabin in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois, Nov. 28, 1849. In the 1850 Census, Cyrus appears as Saloon Keeper, with Mary and one year old son, Cornelius.
Mary Sabin Adams died May 31, 1851 (age 25).I can't find Cyrus Adams after the 1850 Census.
In 1860 and 1870, Cornelius Adams appears in the household of Samuel and Emily Goodrich in Bloomingdale, Hennepin County, MN. Cornelius also appears in the 1870 Census in the 4th Ward of St. Anthony as a student of ministry.
Samuel and Emily Goodrich lived in DuPage Township, Will County, Illinois, in 1850.
It seems that Cornelius Adams was orphaned, or his father remarried...or joined the Gold Rush as so many others did. What happened to him after the 1870 Census?
If anyone has a connection to Cornelius Adams, son of Cyrus Adams and Mary Sabin, please let me know.
