This is my ADAMS family brickwall and I'm hoping a fellow researching may recognize the following and provide me with some fresh insight...
Would anyone here be familar with a following Ephram Adams...his name is noted on his wife's headstone "have photo" located at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Bladen Co., NC. It states:
Nancy Adams, wife of Ephram Adams age 64 "Asleep on Jesus"
This Nancy ADAMS is indicated on the 1850 & 1860 census under Bladen Co., NC...she is listed as a widow unfortunately making it quite a challenge...all a part of having fun doing genealogy LOL!
Sitting across to Nancy's headstone is her daughter: Martha "Adams" HUNT b. Aug 1, 1835 NC-d. Nov 13, 1879 New Hanover Co., NC. Martha ADAMS h/o Zebulon James HUNT b. Oct 20, 1826 Cumberland Co., NC-d. Sep 22, 1897 Caswell, Pender Co., NC. Martha's headstone lays just between her husbands parents father: Zebulon LeBarron HUNT b.Aug 04, 1796 CT and on the other side is her husbands step mother: Sarah A. "Pridgen" HUNT b. Mar 13, 1813 NC
Martha and Zebulon James HUNT produced 4 children: 1. Silas Dean HUNT b. May 02, 1854 New Hanover Co., NC 2. Frances Adams HUNT b. Apr 1858 New Hanover Co., NC "the wide age difference was due to Zebulon's Civil War POW experience before being able to return home" 3. Cora Annie HUNT b. Jul 17, 1872 Pender Co., NC 4.
