If you're still looking: Heman Adams, b. 1823 or 1825,Sandwich, son of Lot, did marry Eliza, but the name is Lumbert, not Lombard. She was daughter of Capt. Josiah Lumbert and wife Betsey/Eliza (Rogers) Lumbert of Cotuit, a seaport villagein the Town of Barnstable on Cape Codeight or ten miles from Sandwich, MA.Heman went to sea as a teen aged boy, and Eliza was the daughter of a sea captain of Cotuit. They married in the 1850's and at that time he had property in nearby Osterville. They had no children. In the 1880s he and Eliza spent some winters aboard a schooner in Boston Harbor.I believe he was in ill health by then, and I do know that Capt. Lumbert built a very small house for themor her in Cotuit. If you are interested, I can check Heman's death and burial information.I believe they both died 1913-14, as did her father.
