?BERVIA EDITH (AKERS) ADAMS' obit Bervia Edith Adams, 79, of Laurel Bloomery, Tenn. died (Monday, Feb. 24, 2003) in the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Coeburn, and a daughter of the late Elmer and Armada Edwards Akers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Adams; two sons, Norman Kirk Adams, and Hubert Kester Adams; two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church Survivors include sons, Oscar Blanchard Adams and his wife, Sandy, of Warren, Mich. Jonah Kenneth Adams and his wife, Molly, of Laurel Bloomery, Danny Lewis Adams and his wife, Zellar, of St. Paul; sister, Verde Graham, Coeburn; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Private family viewing will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 28. Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Johnson County Cemetery.
