Not sure how close you are to Maine but it would be worth seeing what else is on their headstones, if there are any headstones. Have you tried getting in touch with the authorities that are in charge of the cemetery if you are not close?
The cemeteries usually had huge books that they entered the details of a burial in. They had various columns for example; next of kin, last known address, how many in grave.
I have a grave with 12 people in it of varing ages but that led me on to other families.
You could try getting Joseph's marriage details as they stayed in Maine. You have a date and place or did you get that from their cert? Norridgewock, Maine may not have had many churches at that time.
