I may be of some help to many of you in this thread. We have searched for years looking for parents of our Pleasant Adams (1790-1846) who was early Clay and Ray Counties resident. We knew Pleasant came from Casey Co, KY and we have a Bible that was damaged in a Missouri River flood that he recovered in leather and stamped RICHARD ADAMS on the cover.
We recently found not only his Virginia parents, but also an unverified list of his siblings:
