I happened across several articles that piece together more genealogy of Charles True Adams (b. 3 Dec 1900 in Chicago). His parents were Samuel and Marie Louise (Koerner) Adams. Samuel was b. 12 Nov 1871 in Syracuse, Onandaga Co., NY and m. 20 May 1899.Samuel was s/o Charles True (b. 1842; d. 28 Feb 1877) and Emma (Saul) Adams of Canajoharie, NY.They married 13 Jul 1869 and had two children, Samuel and Julie Regula.Marie Louise was d/o Gustavus A. (b. 1845; d. 1904) and Mary Felicite (Kinney) Koerner (b. 1847; d. 1946). Gustavus and Mary were bur. in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, St. Clair Co., IL, along with several other Koerners.Gustavus A. was s/o Gustav and Sophie (Engelmann) Koerner, he being a prominent figure in the Illinois legislature, a state supreme court justice, and later the Minister to Spain, appointed by Abraham Lincoln.Marie Koerner's sister, Dorothy, married Ambrose Sevier Williams, a descendant of Valentine and Joannah (Goad) Sevier.Valentine's first child, John Sevier, was the governor of the "lost" state of Franklin and the first governor of Tennessee.
