Sometime after 1945, a man came into the family business in Tampa, Hillsborough, Florida; asking for Joseph D. Adams. His son Joseph D. Adams, Jr., asked could he help, he is his son? The man identified himself as Joseph's brother. That was the first any of the family had ever heard of this fact. The only verification that Joseph's mother had more then the 2 children was found in a Census, where she is quoted as telling the Census Taker she had 3 live births. In those days it was not uncommon to farm out children out of wedlock, or if the family could not afford another mouth to feed. Grandpa was born in 1892.I am not sure if this person was born before or after my grandfather. Was he adopted out? Did another family member raise him? Do we have more family out there we are unaware of? WE cousins are interested in knowing.PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
