Did you find answers to your REALLY GOOD questions?
While I haven’t gotten far enough along in my genealogy to be of much help, I have seen the name Edmund Adams in the deed books, in association with Redmond and wondered …………..
The name “Redmond” is used SO OFTEN, there’s got to be some family member who had that as a surname. Redmond named a son Redmond W. Adams (my great-great-grandfather) Samuel Adams, son of Redmond W. named a son Samuel Redmond Adams Redmond’s son James named a son Redmond B. Adams Redmond B. named a son John Redmond Adams John Redmond named a DAUGHTER Mollie Redmond Adams! Redmond’s son Elijah H. named a son Redmond Carter Adams Redmond’s son Moses named a son Redmond Adams And, no doubt, many, many moore -- perhaps many “R’s” as initials represent “Redmond:”!
My list shows only 5 children of Elijah and Elizabeth Maneas Adams: Creed T. (m. Mary Ann Giles), Redmond (m. Mary Polly Grigsby), Stokely (m. Winfred Vaden), Allison (m. Phoebe Vaden), and 1 daughter Milly (m. James Emmerson). Guess I need to add Edmund (which I had suspicioned), but is there solid evidence?
