My Adams family is from Madron, Cornwall, England and we have family information back to 1767 when John Adams was born. He married Mary Chelew and had several children. I have recently had a male relative's DNA tested at Family Tree DNA with a 37 marker test. So far the results have not shown a match with any Adams surnames. Has anyone in the Adams group with a Cornish connection had DNA testing done in their family? A sister of my grandfather visited with relatives in Madron in the mid 1950's and was able to find information on the family going back to the 1500's, but unfortunately did not document her finds. She has been deceased for many years and there is no way to know what she found other than what is online. The matches we have found (12 out of 37 and 12 out of 25 have been with the surnames Brown, Pascoe, Soffe, and Hicks. Does anyone know of any connections with the Adams family of the Penzance area of Cornwall to any of those names?
