In 1840 William Adams & Elijah Adams were in Polk County.Same location.William Adams is list with Males 1 (70-80) 1 (10-15) 1 (5-10) Females 1(5-10) 1 (10-15) 1(10-15) 1(40-50). William dies in 1841 leaving a will in Polk county
October Session 1841 Polk County, Tn. The execution of the last will and testement of William Adams, Deceased, was this day duely proven in open Court, by the oaths of Riley Horn, and G. Dalrmply the two subscribing witnesses thereto, who after being duely sworn say they heard the said William Adams, Deceased publish the same as his last will & testament, and that he was at the time in his sound, disparing mind and memory, and that they witnessed the same at his request, which was admitted to record and ordered to be registered. Contents of the will do not exist. In 1850 in Polk county census listed is pg 258 908/916 Samples, Sarah 62 Adams, Calvin 22 Cela 20 Tillitha 18 Levi 17 According to the ages of the children they are the children of William Adams Levi Adams is my greatgrand father; William Elijah Adams is living in Monroe County; moves to Mc Donald County, Missouri prior to 1855 when he dies there.Elizabeth the widow is still living there in 1860 near her children.
Some believe Willliam Elijah is the son of William Adams and Sarah Blankenship who moved with their children to Carrol County Georgia. Records indicate he was not.
